Comp tickets

How to hold seats and either send complimentary tickets or reserve them for a guest to pay.

Comp tickets is for complimentary and held seats. Owners, administrators, and event managers can open it. It is two steps, in this order.

   Block and release

   On the seating chart, select seats that are on sale (yellow) or already held for comps (grey).

   Block turns the seats grey and takes them off public sale. Release puts grey seats back on sale if you have not issued or reserved them.

   Seatme keeps a record of who blocked or released the seats, and which seat labels were involved.

2. 2

   Send or reserve

   This step only works on grey, comp-held seats.

   Send tickets now issues real complimentary tickets at R0. The guest receives the tickets. This is the free path.

   Reserve for guest checkout does not make the order free. The seats stay held for that guest, and the guest pays the normal price:

   • A guest without a Seatme account gets an email link. They open the event from that link and pay.
   • A guest who already has an account is asked to sign in, then completes the normal checkout.

   Do not use the free send if the guest is supposed to pay.

Sent tickets

The sent list can be searched, filtered by event, and paged. It is the record of comps already issued, not a second way to pick seats.
